IT & Security Audit

IT & Security audit is the examination and evaluation of an organization’s information technology infrastructure, policies and operations. They determine whether IT & Security controls protect corporate assets, ensure data integrity and are aligned with the business’s overall goals. IT auditors examine not only physical security controls, but also overall business and financial controls that involve information technology systems.

IT & Security audit covers different aspects of PPT (People, Process & Technology), CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting). Auditing information security is a vital part of any IT audit and is often understood to be the primary purpose of an IT Audit. The broad scope of auditing information security includes such topics as data centers (the physical security of data centers and the logical security of databases, servers and network infrastructure components), networks and application security.

We follow industry’s best practices, frameworks and standards like ISO 270001, ISO 20000, ISO 22301, ISO 31000, ISA 99 (IEC 6244), ISO / IEC 38500, COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, HITRUST, NITECH, PCI DSS, HIPPA, NIST, Qcert etc.

IT Services Management

IT service management (ITSM) refers to the entirety of activities – directed by policies, organized and structured in processes and supporting procedures – that are performed by an organization to design, plan, deliver, operate and control information technology (IT) services offered to customers.

Differing from more technology-oriented IT management approaches like network management and IT systems management, IT service management is characterized by adopting a process approach towards management, focusing on customer needs and IT services for customers rather than IT systems, and stressing continual improvement.

Proper adherence to ITSM best practises (ITIL, ISO 20000 etc) help organizations in running a sustainable profitable business.

CORVIT is rendering its services to equip companies with ITSM based knowledge and efficient implementation.

IT Governance (COBIT)

In the light of digital transformation, information and technology (I&T) have become crucial in the support, sustainability and growth of enterprises. Previously, governing boards (boards of directors) and senior management could delegate, ignore or avoid I&T-related decisions. In most sectors and industries, such attitudes are now ill-advised. Stakeholder value creation (i.e., realizing benefits at an optimal resource cost while optimizing risk) is often driven by a high degree of digitization in new business models, efficient processes, successful innovation, etc. Digitized enterprises are increasingly dependent on I&T for survival and growth. Given the centrality of I&T for enterprise risk management and value generation, a specific focus on IT Governance or Enterprise Governance of information and technology (EGIT) has arisen over the last decade.

EGIT is an integral part of corporate governance. It is exercised by the board that oversees the definition and implementation of processes, structures and relational mechanisms in the organization that enable both business and IT people to execute their responsibilities in support of business/IT alignment and the creation of business value from I&T-enabled business investment.

COBIT is a framework for the governance and management of enterprise information and technology, aimed at the whole enterprise. Enterprise I&T means all the technology and information processing the enterprise puts in place to achieve its goals, regardless of where this happens in the enterprise. In other words, enterprise I&T is not limited to the IT department of an organization, but certainly includes it.

CORVIT help customers in knowledge transfer and implementation of efficient IT governance as per COBIT 2019 and ISO / IEC 38500:2015 standard.

Project Management

Project management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals within the given constraints. This information is usually described in project documentation, created at the beginning of the development process. The primary constraints are scope, time, quality and budget. The secondary—and more ambitious—challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and apply them to meet pre-defined objectives.

The objective of project management is to produce a complete project which complies with the client’s objectives. In many cases the objective of project management is also to shape or reform the client’s brief to feasibly address the client’s objectives. Once the client’s objectives are clearly established they should influence all decisions made by other people involved in the project – for example project managers, designers, contractors and sub-contractors. Ill-defined or too tightly prescribed project management objectives are detrimental to decision making.

A project is a temporary endeavor designed to produce a unique product, service or result with a defined beginning and end undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives, typically to bring about beneficial change or added value. The temporary nature of projects stands in contrast with business as usual (or operations), which are repetitive, permanent, or semi-permanent functional activities to produce products or services. In practice, the management of such distinct production approaches requires the development of distinct technical skills and management strategies.
